Project Bani: Building a New Identity is a public initiative that documents how ecological restoration transforms underused urban land into measurable community assets.

During the 2026 season, the pilot we monitored survived 100°F heat waves and severe storms with minimal plant loss. Even during the hottest summer weeks, the site ran on its own for over a month+ with no supplemental watering. Project BANI documented how urban land can beat the heat, handle heavy rain, produce food, and bring wildlife back to city lots.
